Getting around Prague by bus

Traveling by bus to and from Prague is the cheapest, and probably the most uncomfortable way to commute. The state bus company, Ceska Autobusova Doprava (CAD) propose rides faster and cheaper than by trains.
There are two main bus stations, Prague Florenc and Prague Andel, if you are planning to take a long distance domestic bus or an international bus you probably should go to one of them. If you are coming to in Prague with an international bus you will arrive in Prague Florenc, which is located near the Florenc metro stop on the yellow line.

Buses leave at all times of the day—one can travel overnight to Munich or Budapest or even catch a bus all the way to London. Long distance domestic or international tickets are sold from the ticket counter and the regional ones are also sold on the bus. We recommend purchasing tickets through travel agencies, as the ticket vendors at Florenc will speak only Czech. View a listing of travel agencies on our website for more information.
